Alix Good.

Born and raised in the mid-west, married to my high school sweetheart. We spent about 6 years traveling while Joel was a travel PTA. We had our Texas baby before moving back ‘home’ to be near our families while we raise our own family.

Now a mom of two, I’m a published writer just trying to be the best wife, mom, and friend I can be.

FUN FACTS:

-I love popcorn!

-I'm addicted to snail mail.

-I try to purchase goods made in the U.S.A. as much as possible.

-Thrifting is my jam.

-I write for a local newspaper

-I’m now a sourdough baker and I love it.

Why "letters from a Good friend" ???

When this blog was just a dream and a few trial posts, I had my husband read over some of the posts I had been working on. He commented that he liked how I wrote exactly the way I talk. Which I responded to with "Well, I want my posts to read like they're a letter from a friend!" And I had an actually "AHA!" moment! I turned to look at Joel and exclaimed "LETTERS FROM A GOOD FRIEND!!" And so it was born (: 

So my hope is that while you're reading my posts over a nice hot cup of coffee (or a nice, big glass of wine) that you feel like you're reading a letter from a dear, GOOD, friend.
