Friday Favorites, May
May has been a little slower for us here, thank goodness! We have gotten a little more settled into the RV and a lot more familiar with all of the workings of it. I've been working on a really fun post for next week, about our first month, and I keep laughing at us and all of the stuff we have learned the super hard way. The pups seem totally at home in the RV and even have a little running room outside near our spot! Jake has enjoyed scaring the bunnies that live in the bushes near where we are parked, and Mushu has enjoyed getting to play ball everyday! Our little RV park even has fairly good internet which is awesome! We bought a grill a few weekends ago and Joel has been making some great meals on it!
Even though we have really been enjoying our new home, I've still been finding it hard to get back into a "routine" for some reason. We have a lot of awesome stuff coming up and I'm kind of just ready for all of that to get here! We have a family reunion to attend, parties, renovations, and our 10 year class reunion (so hard to believe!) It always seems like there is so much going on at home during the summer!
Enough about that! Let's get into this month's Friday Favorites! If you find a shop you love, make sure to follow them on social media! Great grad-gift ideas, AND if you need a last minute Mother's Day gift idea, all of these would be sure to make your momma smile!! (just make a little "gift certificate" saying that her gift is on it's way (: )

The Roo Pouch
Rebecca from the Roo Pouch, based in Indiana, makes the cutest leather key fobs in all shapes and sizes! You can choose from her ready-to-ship section with lots of different shapes and sayings. Or you can create a custom fob with your own saying on whatever shape you pick! Last Christmas I had an adorable fob made for the most adorable man I know, my Papa! We also ordered George his very own custom keychain for all of his many, many keys! The quality of these keychains are amazing, they ship fast, and they age AMAZINGLY looking better with time! *These would make AWESOME Father's Day gifts!* PS HOW CUTE is my Papa with his keychain!?

Candelles Candles
I.LOVE.CANDELLES. These are my all time favorite candles for so many reasons! Candelles is based in Pennsylvania where they hand-pour their all natural, soy, vegan friendly, amazing-smelling candles! From their website: "We go the extra mile and have 100% natural soy wax produced by U.S farmers, all natural fragrance oils, non-treated lead-free cotton wicks, and no dyes!" If you sign up for their email list, you will get great coupons and obviously be in the know first about any sales or specials they have going on! (Which is a great idea) Not only are their candles phenomenal, they're customer service is CRAZY GOOD! The last time I bought my candles, one of them arrived damaged. I contacted customer service who responded so quickly and took care of filing a claim with USPS. My ALL TIME FAVORITE Candelles is "I Like You A Waffle Lot" (which I get at least one of every time I order) and I've tried a few others too, all of which I I have loved! I promise you they have a candle for you!

I also wanted to throw in some of Jake's "Favorite Things" (to do) in honor of his FOURTH BIRTHDAY next week!! *cue tears* Jake, my gentle giant, is turning four and I'm feeling all kinds of stuff about it! I KNOW, dogs are "not the same" as kids.... but no one can tell me what to feel and I feel mad love for both of my fur-babies. My heart BURSTS with love for both of them, and I just cannot imagine my life without them! Jake became a part of our family almost four years ago, when Joel and I went to "just look" at a litter of puppies. We "just look"ed, and actually almost went home with TWO puppies that day!!! (HAHA! We are crazy.) I was actually the one that finally had to admit that two puppies would be a little much, and we knew that Jake was the one for us. DID YOU KNOW that Jake's name came from Joel's favorite book series, The Dark Tower series by Stephen King? (which if you're a nerd like Joel, or married to a nerd like me, you know that the first movie based on the series is coming out this year) Jake was "technically" Joel's dog, so he got to pick out the name all by himself! He started calling him Jake and it totally stuck. Jake is our sweet heart, our 70 pound lap dog, and is one of the most kind dogs I've ever met.
Okay, before I get all teary, here it is! Happy (almost) Birthday, Jakey Boy!
